The St Leonards Festival 2018
A great free event in East Sussex
These are my favourite photos from all the ones I took at the 2018 St Leonards Festival! Photos include the stalls in Kings Road, the main event in Warrior Square and the parade on the seafront. Most years it's a great event (I missed one and from what I heard I didn't miss much!) and this was no exception. It's a big free event that gets thousands of visitors from local towns like Hastings, Bexhill and Battle, plus many from further afield. The parade had many drumming groups in it including Section 5 Drummers, Stix Drummers, Drumskullz, Sambalanco plus some others I didn't recognise. I only stayed a few hours, I don't cope well with long events, so sadly couldn't stay all day. I was still there long enough to see some great entertainment, especially the very talented Tania Pieri. Events like this are always fun to photograph, we seem to have something like this going on almost every weekend around here from the spring to the autumn. So lucky to have such great weather for the St Leonards Festival, it was almost too hot!!!
