Hever Castle in Kent, England

I love photographing Hever Castle near Edenbridge in Kent, England. It's such a beautiful English castle and nice to be an intact one too. It's a great tourist attraction and lots of people come along due to it's historic links to Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn.
There is a lot to see and do, not just the castle! The grounds are amazing, including a couple of mazes! lol The gardens are huge, with many great statues, flowers and even a few waterfalls. The Castles to Country Houses exhibition contains incredibly detailed 1/12 scale model houses, so much work must have gone into them.
The castle itself has a slightly strange look, the front view of the gatehouse has a very traditional English castle look, complete with a working portcullis,. The side view on the other hand looks more like an old country house! A strange combination, but such and interesting tourist attraction to look round.
These photos were taken during various visits to Hever over the years and I intend to add more next time I go there. Definitely one of the most beautiful castles in England and well worthy of a visit or two! :)
