Hastings Pirate Day - July 2019 - Stade Photos
About Hastings Pirate Day and my photos from the Stade
Every year in Hastings, East Sussex we have an amazing event called Pirate Day, it’s one that I have been to many times and is always a lot of fun. Hastings currently holds the world record for the most people dressed as pirates in one place, an amazing 14,231 pirates!!! This year we tried to set a different record for people in the shape of pirate ship, but sadly we failed . . . for now. I was down there and there were a LOT of pirates around at the time of the world record attempt, but were elsewhere enjoying pirate day instead. I admit that includes us, but I am getting over some extra health issues, so was having trouble getting around, that’s also why there are less photos and all around The Stade part of Hastings Old Town. Maybe there needed to be a bit more publicity about where and when it was?
The organisers always do a really amazing job every year and I know it cannot be an easy job, so I do want to thank them for doing so much work to make this amazing free event happen.
Feel free to use any of these photos for any respectful, non profit, non hate reasons.
All of these Hastings Pirate Day photos were taken with a Canon 70D DSLR and a Tamron 18-270mm lens.
