The DB Seabank Resort And Spa HotelMellieha Bay, Malta
I have been on holiday to Malta twice, both times I have stayed in the Mellieha Bay (also known as Ghadira Bay) area in the Northwest of Malta, which is in the Mediterranean Sea. The first time a few years ago I stayed in the Mellieha Bay Hotel, which was a very nice hotel, but whenever I went out I went past the db Seabank Hotel and it looked like a great hotel.
When we were deciding where to got for a holiday this year I suggested going to Malta, as it had made a great impression on me and my partner had never been there, so I would be able to show her the sights. We choose to stay at the db Seabank Hotel and Spa so I could be in an area I knew well, but we had the fun of staying at a new hotel. We are very pleased we decided to stay at the Seabank, it's a beautiful hotel, with amazing facilities, the staff were without fault the entire stay, all the food was incredible and the drinks, especially the cocktails (I may have had a few of them! lol) were perfect.
We were there full board, so got plenty of chance to try the food from the main two restaurants, plus the more specialty meals from the other restaurants. You were allowed to use the main ones as often as you want and book an evening meal at each of the other ones once per week of your stay. The best one in my opinion is the Oriental one, so make sure you book that one if you do stay at the Seabank.
The bad thing for some about this hotel is one of the things we liked best! Mellieha is a pretty small town, a long way from the capital Valletta, so some say it's isolated! I can see that, but I don't consider being isolated in an area as beautiful as that, with an incredible bay, great beach, warm Mediterranean sea, lots of history etc. a bad thing! Plus there is a great bus service that takes you to Valletta and the rest of the island or you can take the bus the other way to the ferry port where you can go across to the island of Gozo. I hope you enjoy these photos and if you are considering a stay at the Seabank then I highly recommend it and wish you a good stay there.
These are just photos by a holiday maker with a nice camera, I have no connection to the hotel!
They were all taken during a stay at the end of February 2018
